Owner John True - artist, sculpter, poet

John True has been creating art for as long as he can remember.  He sold his first piece of art at the age of 11, a sculpture of toothpicks.  He has really never considered any other carrer.  John's vision for paintings is that every one should tell a story:

"Most abstracts, even good ones, lay still on their canvas.  Good composition and color cannot on its own tell a story.  If something is moving it's going somewhere, and it's come from somewhere else.  That's what a story is.  How do you make an abstract painting tell a story?  In your mind you take a still shot of the paint as it moves and runs or dances, jumps, wiggles, and swirls.  Years of failed experimentation have yielded these abstrat paintings [seen on this website] that are so full of movement and life." - John True, artist & sculpter

Every painting on this site has a story.  From the Paintings and Sculptures tab click on the MORE INFO button to see the a synopsis of the story for that painting.
